Maternity

pregnant1The practice runs antenatal clinics with our attached community midwives.

Clinic Times

  • Monday (2.00pm - 4.00pm) at Barming
  • Wednesday & Thursday (9.00am – 12.00)
  • and (2.00pm - 4.00pm)

 

Practice Nurse Clinics

Our team of practice nurses and healthcare assistant are all part of the primary healthcare team.

They offer a range of services including:

  • chdAsthma Clinic
  • Cervical Smears
  • Hypertension Clinic
  • Travel Immunisations
  • Contraception
  • Diabetes Clinic
  • Well Person Health Check.
  • Smoking and Obesity Clinic


Cervical smears

This is a way of detecting early changes before the development of cancer so that preventative treatment can be given. We recommend that all sexually active women should have a smear test at least once every three years up to the age of 50 and 5 yearly to 64.

The surgery offers a full range of services. Doctors Child health surveillance by appointment. We offer the normal checks up to five years of age.

Children’s clinics with the health visitor are run at various other venues throughout the week.  Please phone 01622 226057 for details.

These clinics are held by the health visitors to weigh, measure and assess children & give advice. Development checks by appointment only.

The above services are for healthy babies only; please do not bring sick children to avoid the possibility of spreading infection.

Routine child immunizations are carried out by appointment with the Practice Nurse.
